Menteri Kebudayaan Fadli Zon menyatakan dukungannya terhadap penyelenggaraan Festival Film Indonesia (FFI) 2024 mengusung tema "Merandai Cakrawala Sinema Indonesia", yang diharapkan menjadi ajang apresiasi tertinggi bagi para insan perfilman tanah air.

Menurut dia festival ini tidak hanya memperkuat identitas budaya bangsa, tetapi juga menjadi ruang bagi para sineas untuk memperkenalkan budaya nasional melalui karya-karya film mereka.

 

"Film merupakan medium yang sangat efektif untuk melestarikan dan mempromosikan kekayaan budaya bangsa. Kementerian Kebudayaan akan terus mendukung upaya ini sesuai dengan amanat Undang-Undang No. 5 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemajuan Kebudayaan," kata Fadli Zon saat Konferensi Pers Piala Citra FFI di Gedung A, Kementerian Kebudayaan, Jakarta, Kamis.

Fadli Zon juga menyambut baik pencapaian film Indonesia yang semakin mendapat pengakuan di festival internasional, sebagai bukti kualitas film Indonesia yang terus meningkat.

 

Tahun ini, jumlah penonton film Indonesia telah melampaui 66 juta orang dan diharapkan dapat mencapai 70 hingga 80 juta hingga akhir tahun, dan pencapaian ini menjadi motivasi bagi perkembangan perfilman Indonesia.

 

Namun, Fadli Zon juga mencatat kekurangan jumlah layar bioskop di daerah-daerah yang masih belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan penonton di seluruh Indonesia.

 

"Kami akan terus bekerja sama dengan berbagai pihak untuk meningkatkan jumlah layar bioskop di seluruh wilayah Indonesia," tambahnya.

 

Kementerian Kebudayaan berharap, FFI 2024 dapat memperkuat posisi film Indonesia di kancah internasional dan lebih banyak memperkenalkan keberagaman budaya bangsa.

 

Adapun, Festival Film Indonesia (FFI) akan menyelenggarakan Penghargaan Piala Citra ke-44 tahun 2024 sebagai apresiasi untuk industri perfilman, yang juga didukung oleh Kementerian Kebudayaan, yang akan berlangsung pada Rabu (20/11) di ICE BSD, Tangerang.

Dengan mengusung tema “Merandai Cakrawala Sinema Indonesia”, FFI 2024 ingin menjadi ruang kolaborasi untuk membangun ekosistem perfilman Indonesia yang lebih kreatif, inovatif, inklusif, dan produktif.
